Build school-based courses and offer popular science elective courses. China is currently implementing a three-level curriculum management system of national curriculum, local curriculum and school-based curriculum. The author thinks, should make full use of local curriculum and school-based curriculum, wide open in elementary school science education elective courses, the cloning and genetic engineering technology, the human genome project, nano technology, magnetic suspension technology, space technology and other students interested in the latest development of contemporary science and technology achievements and frontier dynamic into courses. School-based courses can also be written in close contact with local characteristics. If it is located in a mountainous area, traditional Chinese medicine garden can be set up, and vegetable base and flower base can be set up in rural areas. According to the characteristics of students’ age, lively and diverse ways can be adopted to guide students to understand the new development of science and technology, so as to improve students’ interest in scientific learning and scientific accomplishment.
